When pioneering a new market concept its sometimes difficult to convey without a practical demonstration. To assist with demonstrating how game cards and product packaging can be integrated into a mobile marketing experience, we launched Slapdown Games as a brand and produced mobile augmented reality gaming experiences on the iPhone.

We wanted to demonstrate how mobile augmented reality can create a really fun and unique 3D game experience. In Splatterbugs, the game-card turns into a virtual hole where cockroaches swarm out, and your job is to squash them as quickly as you can. Placing the game-card in different places creates some really fun views - for instance bugs crawling out of a hole on your leg or the back of your hand.

While purely a concept game, Splatterbugs continues to sell on the AppStore and generate interest from gamers and advertisers alike.
