As one of a select group of global sponsors of the FIFA World Cup 2010, Harbin wanted to promote their Ice Beer in a really innovative way that tied in with the soccer theme.
Motim created a world-first product activation and phone-to-phone scanning experience, where users first scanned the Harbin product label using their mobile camera to launch an animation, then 'passed' the experience to another user through a phone-to-phone scan, which was repeated until a prize was unlocked. The prize could then be claimed directly through the mobile application.
The success of this campaign led to follow-on promotions for Harbin.
